Vera Gollasch Quilt
The Vera Gollasch quilt is a queen size, row by row, sampler style quilt. The various rows are a combination of machine pieced blocks, needle-turn applique and English paper piecing using several designs. The quilt is then joined using the quilt-as-you-go method (which is optional).
Beginners who know how to use their sewing machines will be able to learn piecing techniques as well as get tips and tricks on rotary cutting. Quilt is not really suitable for non-sewers.
Participants will need to purchase the Vera Gollasch quilt pattern from Janelle – Janelle has offered the pattern at a special GPW discount – just $20. You’ll also need some papers for the hexagons – you can draft or bring your own or purchase a pack from Janelle for just $50 (again GPW deal only – they are usually $70)
You can check out more of Janelle’s work on her website Country Matters Design (leaves this page).
