Use what you have, make what you love

Upcycle and destash with Jules McMahon

Would you like to use clothes, reclaimed fabrics and scraps to make gorgeous quilts? Perhaps your stash is overflowing and you don't want to buy supplies to be able to take a class?

In this class, we'll learn to work with what you have to make a piece you love.

Overcoming challenges

Jules will work with you to explore ideas, develop a concept and work through any technical challenges that arise from combining different substrates and worn clothing, you can even choose to quilt the entire piece as you go!

Gather your supplies

Supplies for this class are your sewing machine, thread, a pair of dressmaking scissors and a whole whack of fabrics from your collection - they can be clothing or curtains or even just a stack you've been stashing for years - just bring a box of fabrics you love (or don't) and work with what you have.

*If you'd like to quilt as you go, bring a piece of backing and batting the size you'd like to make your quilt but you can make the top without quilting.
